I've been looking for an ice crusher for frappucinos and margaritas. (Sure, some people seem to be able to throw ice cubes right into their blenders and froth up snowy-smooth blended drinks. My blender doesn't do that. At best, it gives a chilled drink with big lumps of ice sculpted to a nearly spherical shape.)
Well, ice crusher choices sure are slim in the "new" department. There are a few units between $50 and $100 that have an awful lot of negative reviews on Amazon. Or I could buy a new refrigerator.

But it turns out that Oster used to make ice-crusher attachments for blenders, and the vintage units are fairly plentiful on EBay. So for under $25 (including shipping!) I got this fine specimen:
Circa 1964. A bit noisy, but works great! And it comes with recipes for every member of the family:
The recipes call it the "Oster-Icer". (Get it?)
